Teenage art challenge.... She hates steemit!!!!

Well, Our teenage daughter states that she hates steemit, as she continues to use crappy social media such as snapchat, instagram, and youtube. She is on it about 10 hours a day. I told her about steemit and the potential of greatness using it. Of course, knowing a teenager she immediate snubbed it. Actually she said it was stupid. So, I told her I'd post her drawing she did last year and see what people thought of it. She was 14 at that point (now 15}. I told her it was great and she has potential, but of course she shrugged my comments off like a teenager. She has so much potential, and hope she will switch to this platform and grow. I told her whatever upvotes she gets on this sketch I'll give her. I hope that I can change her mind and maybe start to listen to my knowledge, LOL... We will let you be the judge if she has what it takes to be a steemit member.

Thank you for your support.

A good friend of mines show me about Steemit. At first, I don't know anything about it or just being confused. I'm starting to get on less often because I was losing interest of it. Then my friend show me more about Steemit that I found it pretty cool! Now I'm on it more often and still learning more about Steemit :) I love it so far.

Once you get to understand it, it gets bigger and better. If you have a great post that you think others would love. Then I would recommend using a resteeming bot. Make sure they have tons of followers. It does help for exposure. I wish you much success.

Thank you! :)

First of all, great job! I’m a newbie here and already loving it. My husband got me into Steemit and I am thankful that he did. Not only it does the same thing as the other social media but we get paid too. Cents but it will build up eventually. So why not have the best of both worlds? I’m sure with a little more persuasion from our fellow Steemians she might look at it differently.

Welcome to steemit, glad to see you're enjoying the platform!

Thank you @brandyb and @johnnycopper1 Hope to find more people like you guys!

Thank you for your comments.... Im sending these to her and im hoping it gets through to her.

Well one thing I have learned from teenagers, that anything you do or think is cool, is so NOT cool. In addition to it not being cool if you do it, it's also not cool if their friends aren't doing it. She is very talented, I hope she get's encouraged by earning potential! Trying to convince her that she's entitled to earn rather than allow her information be sold is not going to be an easy task! ALL THE LUCK!

Omg that is what I think is going on... She just figured art is what motivates her and we are too old. (hehe) I say I need to wear her down. We need young people to grasp this and spread it to their friends.

Lot's of really talented artists on here! Lot's of them have contests that would motivate, inspire her drawings. Have her check out @yasuymon blog, I think she will enjoy it! It's a wonderfully diverse community here with a lot of brilliance to be shared! I hope to follow her soon!

I like her drawing. Show her @kaylinart 's blog on here and she might be encouraged to see how another young artist is doing on Steemit.

I will, I hope Riley sees the potential. I just checked it out. That is wonderful that she is doing so well on steemit
Did she at first think it was lame.?

She didn't know what to think at first. But a friend who was also an artist told her about steemit so she tried it out and it worked out very well! Maybe that's the thing. If your daughter has a friend tell her to try it, she might. OR maybe she will be take a chance and be first among her friends here, then she can tell THEM all about it!

That might work, as I was postibg it one of her friends came over and was excited about the idea of this. She said she would dl esteem to check it. Maybe she can be the catalyst?

She did a good job on this drawing, a lot of potential if she keeps at it. If she did join Steemit and stuck with it for months, putting up her drawings and the hard work to get the follower base etc, she will be able to turn it into more of a part time sort of job earnings wise, if not earn a lot! She would love the community too, because Steemit has one of the best I have seen and would get a lot of support for her work.

I just showed this comment to her and she smiled. Thats more than I can get from her hehe. Thank you for aupporting her. We just need to keep pushing her :)

You're welcome mate and hopefully she eventually changes her mind. Just needs others to help her see the value and how cool and awesome Steemit is! ;)

I love this artwork. My eyes were immediately drawn to the girls eyes.
I liked the colour pallet also.
Tell her I would like to see more of her work.

It's more than acquiring Steem. It is a journey we all share. You will grow here. Tell her that.
Thanks for sharing.
....upvoted and resteemed.

Yes I agree. A journey with people to help you along the way. :)

@acwood thanks for the support. I'LL tell her about setting an account and transfer the proceeds to her. I hope she does. And thanks again :)

Hi folks, just to let you know that Riley just fot her account setup. So I'll be showing her the dis and don't of smeet it. You can check her site @rile thanks again everyone.

Riley says "thank you so much and I'm going to continue to try to improve or something.. I'll Check out the blog" so I think she is warming up to steemit. Lol

Awwwnn... lets see how much she could be convinced over time. Nice Art by the way. She has got what it takes.

She just said thank you, it means a lot. :)

This is a great post. I Love your daughters art. I hope she sees the "error" in her ways soon enough. She should only be using those sites for promoting steemit content! Resteemed for visibility
