Blond Cards 207 to 408
I'm giving Blond Cards away at The Camden Market Free Art Man. There's 408 so far. Original acrylic paintings on paper, glued to cardboard. I've been making them since Zombie said he wanted one of my Blond Twines but it was too big. This was a month or so ago. I went home to make him a small one, during which I thought I might as well do one of him. Then followed a load of other people, my ex-wife's market stall Maddarings, my Strawberry Cake band mate Mooney Ra Ra's two cats Midnight and Orio and some other characters. The most recent batch, numbers 207 to 408 were finished last night. Mooney Ra Ra did some filming:
Each card is a 100% original, individual painting. They are all free hand drawings in Sharpie pen which I then paint over. They're not prints, traces or involve a computer in any way. Most importantly of all though, they forgeproof. You can't fake one as each are numbered and videoed and kept like a blockchain online. If you get a Blond Card and want to check it's not a fake, just go to my websites Blond Cards page and look it up.
I'll be doing a booklet for the Blond Cards soon but need to get more characters created first. Maddarings and Kozmic Records are both Blond Card characters that are also Camden Market businesses. Guitar Guitar is a Camden guitar shop I take a lot of my cardboard from. I'd like to make some more Blond Cards for other Camden retailers like pubs, music venues and the like. Once I have around 40 characters, I'll put them all into a booklet and make the booklet part of The Camden Market Free Art Man display too.
Above is a photo of what our spare bedroom currently looks like. All that's left to do on these is to re-punch the hanging holes that are currently filled with PVA glue, from last nights coating. Then I can make the video documenting each and add it to the blockchain. As it's too windy to go to Camden this weekend, this can all be done today.
