The establishment of settlement pattern in architecture is influenced by social-cultural condition of the society, This settlement is strongly influenced by cultures that still have kinship among the inhabitants of each other, thus forming a family group. These family groups form settlement patterns in each residential group that together form a spatial pattern on a macro (village) scale.

The analysis shows that the kinship system has an effect on the land use and spatial formation in it. The kinship system greatly influences spatial formation by observing the principles of space effectiveness where ease of access, openness of view space, and the configuration of space in a residential group can be created well.

for one example that I will describe is Ngadas Village is located in Poncokusumo Sub-district, Malang Regency, East Jawa Province. The community in Ngadas Village is the only Tengger Tribe located in the district of Malang. The area of the village is located in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, which is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The distance of Ngadas Village and the sand sea of Mount Bromo ± 12 km.

They also divide the village area into heads (shrine: temple), body (social place: grave, village hall, school), foot (settlement).
