Artists of Disegno pt.2

in #art7 years ago (edited)

I’m going to do this series of all the artists I work with or have became great friends with. And the people I’ve met along the way.

Taft McWhorter happens to be my favorite artist. And this was before I found out I would be working with him and selling his art in the studio.

McWhorter and his family actually grew up in the same neighborhood as I did. I went to class with his youngest son and graduated with him too.

His motto of life is “Pursue Your Passion” and that has become our little family’s motto.

McWhorter didn’t start off as an artist. He was a businessman with his own arcade called “Velocity Games” in Cypress, TX off HWY 6. I used to spend my summers playing games there, not knowing I’d be working along side this man years later.

McWhorter’s style is unique. He uses colors and just look at what he creates.

As you can see, he’s done a lot for the community art wise and is well loved. Even the Mayor loves his work!

I love you Taft and I will always be here to support you.
