Hands 13 - Painting
Everything seems to slow down for me at this time of year. Perhaps its just a natural response to the onset of Winter and some deep urge to hibernate. But, I press on regardless of the time it takes.
You saw last week I posted the beginnings of this painting, so now finally, here's the finished piece.
Whether you're hiding from the cold in your Winter cave or starting to melt in the Summer heat, all the best and Steem on! =)

Wonderful light source, and some fairly difficult foreshortening makes for a really nice piece of art. Even if it is just a human hand... Pointing just over my shoulder... I kinda had to look behind me there for a minute.
Great job, I dig!
Did you check again what's over your shoulder? ;-)
Thanks @kidsysco!
The detailing on this is incredible.
This painting is so stunnig!!
=)
This is very photorealistic, @leoplaw, but even more alive and well illustrated than just a photo <3 I love the skin tone and how you capture light and shadows so well with this pointing hand <3
Cheers @veryspider! I uploaded the time lapse video today. You can see that it had to go through a long ugly faze to get to this.
I’m pretty sure that’s a photo you’re pretending is a painting 😜 that looks amazing!
Nothing wrong with hibernating if you do feel the inclination 😁

He he... wait until my next post. You can watch this painting develop in time lapse.
I want to be painting not hibernating, because at this time of year, I don't have to feel guilty about staying in the studio and not going outside. =)
Here's the time lapse video.
Stunning
Thank you @galleriedu!
Hope, you are pointing in the right direction :-) Your work is a master study.
I think you've put your finger on something there @johano. ;-)
Wow what a stunning painting! Surely one of the most difficult things to capture realistically and i thought this was a photo!
I know what you mean about slowing down at this time of year. It's like you draw all energy inwards, conserving it for the spring. Evie x
Stick around for the next post. I'll be uploading a time lapse video of the painting's development.
Spring? Seems like a distant dream right now.
