Artwork #13: "Beauty and Geek" | Learn new colouring techniques with me with different colouring materials!

Greetings steemit community! Here is my thirteenth (13th) artwork showing on how to use your different colouring materials for your art piece.

Materials needed:

•thick paper (any white paper will do)
•watercolor and paint brush
•oil pastel
•colouring pencil

Work-in-Process (WIP)

First, I used pencil to have the guide.

In this first part, let us use watercolor then paint the portrait's hair with orange color. (You can use any color you want for its hair).

Next, paint her off-shoulder blouse with any color you want. For mine, I used black. Don't push too hard the brush so it will give you the best texture of color.

As this is a tutorial for using different colouring materials, with this part let us use colouring pencil for adding portrait' details.

Go back to its hair, I used red colouring pencil to make her hair look bouncy.

To emhasize every detail, use black coloured pencil for her body's outline.

We're half way there! Now let us focus on her beautiful and geeky look. I used brown coloured pencil for her brows. Make sure to match her brow's color with her hair.

Make her eyes sparkly. I used black colored pencil to give a glam and eye catchy look.

For her pouty and sexy lips, I used oil pastel to easily rub or blend the color using finger/cotton to fill the paper and give a little texture.

Contouring!!! girls would love this. In this part, still use the oil pastel to do contour.

Achieved!

Using different colouring materials in one subject is quiet fun!

This is a fun art to do. Using different colouring materials and new techniques can give you more ideas for making an artwork. With these easy and real quick techniques, it can make your art more unique.

For parents, you may have fun together with your kids in making artwork playing with different colouring material. This can be a good bonding for you all. You're not just learning something new also, you're having fun.
