💡Strategic Photography

Nowadays it is hard for a photography studio to generate income since there are a lot of freelance photographers just around the corner. Most of these freelance photographers offer cheaper packages and has a more millennial approach towards taking photos. All these freelance photographers have to worry is the maintenance of their equipment unlike Studio Photography has to think of the equipment, space rent, printers, computer, bills, and a lot more.

This post is about how our studio(the studio where I work in) has one of the unique ideas in the field of photography. Our boss had an idea of adopting virtual background to be used in studio photography. In this manner we can project a vast variety of backgrounds using a tablet and a projector. But the idea wasn't that easy to apply since there are a lot of things to prepare and on this post I will break it all down for you guys. 👍

What is needed in Virtual Background? 📝

First thing my boss did was he ordered a machinery that could hold the projector, tablet, and the camera together. This machinery has the capacity to balance everything at once. With perfect calculation of angles and perspective we could produce a quality photo. A certain surface is a must that has the capacity to depict the projection of image just like a wall but a wall wouldn't be enough to depict the best quality of the image. So a black silk screen is attached to a black wall since it could enhance the photo being projected.

Along with this device is a X-T2 Fujifilm camera and I will make a different blog sooner or later to break down the great things about this camera. An Epson EB S41 projector that supports HDMI and other various connection choices, and an Apple Ipad to be connected to the projector.

In order to project different sceneries of background first we must select photos of sceneries that is very catchy to the eye and that would perfectly fit to the subject.

Often times our customers pic the background they want and some want a photographers choice. They trust us well enough because this method of taking photo was already recommended by other customers.

One of my personal favorite among all the background available is an outdoor background that is great for children. It is always fun and exciting to shoot for kids! I get to play with the kids and laugh with them all throughout the shoot.

Look at that fantastic smile! With that snow white costume the background perfectly fits to the desired scene the parents want to see. Who wouldn't love this certain kind of approach in photography. It would only take more or less 5 minutes to get the job done. Very time efficient with such outstanding output.👌
