Guess what, art lovers and creators of Brunswick County? The amazing folks at the Brunswick Arts Council are bringing back their super popular Visual Arts Show for the 26th time! That's right, 26 years of celebrating local talent, and this year promises to be just as spectacular.
It's the perfect stage to show off all the incredible artistic talent bubbling right here in our own backyard! And where's all this magic happening, you ask? None other than the super cool Ricky Evans Gallery in Southport. Imagine your masterpiece hanging in such a fantastic spot!
So, if you've got a paintbrush, a camera, or just an awesome idea waiting to become art, and you live in Brunswick County, this is YOUR chance! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting to explore your creative side, they want to see what you've got.
Mark your calendars, set those phone reminders, because submissions kick off online via SmarterEntry.com starting February 27th and wrap up on March 27th. Don't dilly-dally – get those entries in! You can send in up to three of your masterpieces. It's just $10 per entry, or grab a sweet deal for three entries at $25. Think of it as your golden ticket to art stardom!
And guess what? There's a whopping $1,000 in prize money up for grabs! We're talking a fantastic $500 for Best in Show, $250 for second place, $100 for third, and even some cool $50 Honorable Mentions. Talk about motivation!
The show itself runs from April 6th all the way to May 10th, giving everyone plenty of time to come admire your incredible work.
