'Power Cut' 2017

This piece of work was in response to the UK Government's plans to phase out unabated coal-fired power stations in the UK by 2025. The Ferrybridge, Longannet and Rugeley power stations closed in 2016. The UK is phasing out coal-fired power generation and replacing with low carbon generation.

Awesome smoke stack gif! Great work Ophelia :)

Thanks @voronoi. Is Steemtown going to be purely windmill powered or will it have another form of power generation?

Ooo great question. I think we need to diversify... if it keeps growing we'll need more than wind alone! (I really need to get back into the steemtown groove of things, aiming to post again come April.)

I was wondering about using the water sources in Steemtown for power.

We should! I've been working on a permaculture landscape and a river to supply it... it makes sense to include a water-mill / or even a dam as well :)

muy buen trabajo de concientización del cuidado del medio ambiente señora @opheliafu, felicitaciones

Consideration for the environment should be at the forefront of all our thinking, thank you @jlufer.

That's some 'blue sky' thinking ;)

Yes, though being the UK it will be mainly grey.

That's different, Its really good :)

Thank you, it's nice to be different 😉

I totally agree

wow great skills you have

Thank you @doitvoluntarily, it's just a little something I made.
