Lyrebard - acrylic on canvas.
Apparently it's been 22 days since I've posted. It doesn't feel that way. I feel like I've blinked three weeks away. Only finished a couple paintings since then, but very detailed paintings. This is the first of them.
The Lyrebard. It's 16x20", acrylic on canvas. I've started a series of this style. I think I mentioned in the previous post, inspired by Gustav Klimt, and the fact that I have way too many iridescent paints to use up. I'm calling the series Songbirds, as a whole. I think I might branch out into other animals later - such as my own precious little cat, Bilbo. Pet owners might be interested in portraits like so. :)

I've been otherwise busy prepping material for my partner's business of vertical gardens, which have taken off this year due to some good press in local news. We have more people requesting orders than we can process on a boutique scale, which is, all things considered, an excellent problem to have. He's home now, after a long stint away caring for his mum, who is fortunately doing much better. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything keeps going well for us. And knocking on wood. And any other superstitious luck charm I can think of.

It's true. I find it a little jarring to realize how many days have passed. That's how it is when you're busy too, I guess.
I do want to remember to pop back in, if nothing else, to be able to upvote posts like yours here, which I can't seem to do after the seven day window expires.
