We favour unreasonably huge subsidies to the Brain Slug planet (Crochet tutorial)

 Best have your garlic shampoo at the ready, I want to share with you how I made this brain slug from Futurama. (All stitches in English) 

For the body (green wool) 

First make a magic circle with 8 double crochet (dc) in it 

Round 1: chain (ch) 1, then 2 dc in each stitch, join with a slip stitch (ss) 

Round 2: ch 1, *1 dc, then 2 dc in same stitch, repeat from * until the end, ss 

Round 3: ch 1, *3 dc, then 2 dc in same stitch, repeat from * until the end, ss 

Round 4: ch1, * 5 dc, then 2 dc in same stitch, repeat from * until the end, ss 

Round 5: ch1, *10 dc, then 2 dc in same stitch, repeat from * until the end, ss 

Rounds 6 to 12: ch 1, 1 dc in each stitch all the way around, ss 

Round 13: ch 1, *10 dc, dc2tog, repeat from * until the end, ss 

Round 14: ch 1, 1 dc in each stitch all they way around, ss 

Round 15: ch 1, *5 dc, dc2tog, repeat from * until the end, ss 

Round 16: ch 1, dc all the way around, ss 

Round 17: ch 1, 2 dc in each stitch all they way around, ss 

Round 18: ch 1, * 1 dc, 1 htr (half treble), 1 tr (treble), 2 dtr (double treble), 1 tr, 1 htr, repeat from * until end, ss. Tie off.   

For the antennae (green wool) 

Ch 4, join to the 1st stitch to make a circle. ss in each loop to make a long tube. Repeat. Stitch to the top of the body with a needle.   

For the eye (White and black wool)   

Make a magic circle with 8 dc in it

Round 1: ch 1, 2 dc in each stitch until the end, ss 

Round 2: ch 1, *1 dc, 2 dc in same stitch, repeat from * until the end, ss and tie off.   

Then trim the edge of the eye with black wool using a slip stitch and use a needle and black wool to fill the dot in the centre of its eye. Stitch on to the front of the slug.
