A new tiny figure ^_^
Yesterday I started to create some little tiny sculptures using the air hardening modeling clay and today they were enough dried to be paint too ^_^
I had so much fun to paint them and even if usually oil colors are my favorite medium (sure, it depends of the different surfaces where I hhave to paint a subject ^_^), I admit that acrylic colors are perfect for this kind of work ^_^
The first tiny figure that I finished is this:
It's a freaky rounded-head man with a blue shirt, one of my usual characters. I know he can seems a little creepy, but he has a big heart, believe me! ^_^
The use of this kind of clay is really different from clay to make terracotta. Having it on my hands I feel the differences between these 2 kind of clay and, sure, this clay dry faster than the other! The air hardening clay dosn't need to be "cook" in the clay oven and for Summer is perfect! To make this figure in terracotta I would have needed about 2-3 week (it has to be well dried before to put it in the oven and the oven need about 24 hours to cook it well). Using the clay of today I did it in just 2 week ^_^ I think I'll use often this clay for the tiny sculptures ^_^
I hope you like it ^_^
See ya soon
