Imagination and "Reality"

The world could use more imaginative, creative people. Just think of the problems caused by people doing the same things that have always been done. If we can all just step back and look at a situation with new eyes we can create our lives and the world to match our dreams.

This is a page from my art journal. I explore new techniques and ideas and try to push my imagination to its limit. Learning to flow with a creativity without a fear of "failure" is a great way to discover solutions and apply that mindset to other areas of your life. An art journal is a wonderful place for that.

This art journal was an old ledger that I found in my Aunt's house after she died. I like the added interest and texture created by the lines and numbers. You can even paint over the pages of an old book or magazine to make an art journal rather than buying an expensive notebook.

If you're not into painting or drawing, then exercise your creativity with gardening or cooking or whatever your passion is, but don't be afraid to try something new. Everyone was once a beginner.
