Background story

This piece was created in 1993 in Hotel Del Rey, San Josey, Costa Rica. Inspired by my wife at the time and my two and a half year old son, Collbalt Blue Yaari.

My wife of native american origin helped me paint this amazing piece. She was my devoted assistant and apprentice before we entered into a relationship.

We met at the optimum health institute in Lemon Grove, San Diego where I was in treatment for my cancer…. which by the way has been in remission ever since.

I was working on around 100 paintings that year with my crew and friends, all over Costa Rica. And in this period we were experimenting with the effects of Ayahuasca which unquestionably had a profound effect on our work.
