DIY : Card making
Hello steemians! Today, I will show you how I made my new year card, for the exchange. If you haven't seen my old post, you can check here. I'm a member of a scrap community in social media "Fiskarettes France".
At this time here are the rules credit from fiskarettes.
The exchange card, it must send before the 31th of January, and the theme is Wishing a Happy New Year.
The conditions of participation, you must live in Metropolitan France or in European Union and be motivated to exchange its creations with members of the community.
The terms of participation, you must register before January 15, 2018 by leaving a comment after the post specifying whether you accept or not the shipments to the European Union (higher shipping costs) and share the photos of your creation on the page Fiskarettes France in Facebook.
The list of pairs will drawn by lot, and will be published on January 16,2018.
Yesterday, I received a new year card from my exchange partner in the community. She lives in South of France, and this is the card that she sent. She added some tags, stickers, and a greeting notes.
And this is the card that I made for her.
Materials and tools:
- Trimming and scoring board
- Plain white cardstock
- 2 pcs. of scrapbook design paper
- double sided tape
- foam tape
- wood die-cut or ornament
The procedure:
- In a plain white cardstock, cut a piece of 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches, then score at 3 inches in the longer side of the paper, and fold.
- In the same cardstock, cut a piece of 8 x 3 inches, then score at 4 inches in the longer side of the paper and fold.
- In a scrapbook design, cut a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches for the interior of the card.
- Cut a piece of 4 3/8 x 2 7/8 inches for the left front flap of the card.
- Cut a piece of 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches for the small plain cardstock to be place in the center of the card.
- Stick all the scrapbook design paper to your plain cardstock. The small piece of white cardstock must be place at the center.
- In the left side of the card, add ornament, this may serve as your closure of the card.
- For final retouch, stamp "2018" in a white cardstock, then stick it to a design paper, then design it according to your desire. I made a simple banner for the 2018 stamp.
And it's done! Easy and affordable! Thanks for dropping by! See you in my next post!
