Comic blog post

Been a busy time, and soon I'll be free to calm down and work. There’s been a lot of ups and downs recently, but I can't let that hold me down.

Oops, don’t mind my manners, Artists—good morning, good afternoon, and good evening.

I've been thinking about how boring my story has been recently. I’ve considered recruiting some coursemates who are much better at comic storytelling, but it seems it’ll have to wait till after exams before they can really settle their minds enough to give me a response. I’ve gotten some suggestions from them too.

I’ve also had a lot of textbook mishaps, and somehow my graphics are going up and down. I explained that I only have my phone, a jotter, and a pen—which has always been what I use. The page size switch seemed annoying, and somehow I almost felt like canceling the whole comic 😩😩.

I’m still trying my best to improve, although I still wonder if I’m still creating this comic book for fun.

Let’s cut to the main reason for this post (I’m not sure there will be much chance to create another post after this week in this month, even though it only takes 10 minutes to write something meaningful).

The previous stories didn’t have a cover sheet, although there was one I only used on my Google site (still under recovery).

Looking at the story from behind: Silent Hawk, before he came to Earth looking all red, was actually a different-colored gem(he colours are actually white light ROYIGBIV). He was restricted in some abilities and reflected only red when coming to Earth because the aliens were trying so hard to crack open his energy—wait, was I supposed to mention the extras already? 😅

I decided to create something that will show a little of how he’ll look when he starts to use the power of the Black Stone—although that stone is still in a busy state, balancing the other stones, so that form is still sealed until he meets a battle that refuses to end quickly.

I also just introduced a new villain: “Gbadamosi — The Reaper.”

The story is still under development, and I’m only done with 2/3 Episode 5. I’ll be releasing it when Episode 6 is ready or partly ready. I’m giving myself a two-week break after each episode, since this comic will be interconnected to some new comics that are yet to come.

Thanks for reading my blog.

If you ask me, 1 pen is enough (and something to draw on) unless it's out of ink. An artist is an artist which shows by his creativity and talent, not the expensive or high amount of tools he has at hand. If it comes to it simplicity is still the key and fantasy does the rest.
Comics are great in black (or blue) and white and so are many paintings.

I hope you continue and if you take a break from the comic draw something else. Only if you keep drawing skills improve.

Btw it's normal to go up and down... I asked many talented people and they all say that they have those days whatever they create looks like... what they do is taking a break and try hours or the next day again.
I wish you all the best.

Thanks @wakeupkitty
I'm glad you've always been there to encourage me🥺.

Just don't give up. We all have those dark, depressing days, running out of time, inspiration and people willing or able to give us a push (or inspiration). If you can't continue with the cartoon than just scratch and create the big nothing (or void) which is very hard I can tell you.
