A Gaze So Intense
Some portrait studies for the day, I love working with darker pencils directly without giving any lighter outlines first. 8B’s are probably my favorite ones to use when I feel very courageous on the paper. Today was one of those days I think. Also, I am near the end this sketchbook by thesketcbookproject.com.
My favorite kind of faces to study are Africans, African-Americans and people who are elder (because I think they have so much character in their faces). Pinterest is the first place I choose for reference photos as I always find plenty of them. Recently I have also been enjoying sketching male portraits more than female ones which was much needed for me 😅
