Being in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives are filled with coral atolls that make up small islands.

With temperatures throughout the year 27-28 degrees Celsius, Maldives is the perfect place for a vacation.

But global warming has left the region in danger of drowning.

How not, Maldives is the lowest country in the world with a height of only 1.3 meters above sea level.
