I have donated any clothes that were still good but I didn't wear anymore to groups that give them away or resell to raise money, and anything that isn't in great shape, there is a clothing recycle bin near me I take them to. I have a bag of bits from sewing that I've been collecting in for a long time that I will take down there when it's full. Since it's recycling and not reselling or gifting, you can put anything in it, which is good!
