Aadi Amavasai 2026
Aadi Amavasai, celebrated in the Tamil month of Aadi (July-August), is dedicated to honoring ancestors. On this day, many devotees gather at riversides or seashores to perform Tarpanam, a ritual offering of water, sesame seeds, and prayers, to bring peace to the souls of the departed.
