I think both sides have a point. Dating apps are great at finding people with similar interests and lifestyles, but I’ve definitely met people who seemed like a perfect match on paper and yet there was absolutely no chemistry. At the same time, I’m not sure any system can fully explain why you instantly click with one person and not another.

Reading this got me thinking about how often people try to make sense of connection in general. The other night I was bouncing around different sites and ended up on ai spicy, and it struck me how even with all the technology we have now, people are still looking for that feeling of a natural conversation and genuine connection. Whether it’s astrology, algorithms, or just two people meeting by chance, there’s still a part of attraction that seems impossible to reduce to a formula. That’s probably why these discussions never stop being interesting.
