Fake tears over Fraser Anning speech

Fraser Anning's maiden speech in the Australian Senate included the term "final solution". If you watch the video of him saying it, he clearly wasn't trying to give it any kind of significance. And no one in the chamber took offense at the time. It's almost certain it was just an unconsciously bad choice of words.

But when someone pointed the phrase out, pundits and pollies across Australia pounced on it as an excuse for some absolutely nauseating virtue signalling, some of it tearful. 

I think this tweet put the whole tawdry show in perspective.
