Steem could go down till block.one june meeting where they are expected to announce MEOS. A social media platform on EOS.

But that instead of being seen a threat to Steem - should be seen as validation of steem blockchain.

Once the event is over, and as usual MEOS will have its own struggle in getting users, the steem will come back
