Thanks for that- yep its not terrible, but dang hatching takes a long time and it's really hard to do well. I'll mostly stick to ink washes for value but occasionally I'm tempted to hatch and it can be enjoyable. Sometimes...

    Maybe you need to do hatching when you want to do something meditative XD
