Bamboo cane made dining platform
The indigenous people of the Chittagong Hill Tracts used to eat rice putting the rice plate or banana leaves (used as rice plate) on a bamboo cane made platform about 12/15 inches high. This is called 'mejang' and it is a traditional practice. Till now in many social functions food is served in such platform just to practice the traditional system.
