Banned Behavior - Short Comments to Posts
I have seen a lot of short comments to posts. Things like “great post, brother” or “very good information” or even “Good!”
This platform is meant for thoughtful posts and comments. You should really take the time to read the post and understand it. Then make a comment of a sentence or two (at least) addressing the subject of he post. If you do, you may get upvoted.
You won’t get upvotes for simple comments and may get downvoted. It is not Facebook here. You do not need to upvote and comment on everything.

i don't have an issue with a short comment on a post.
what i hate is when the commenter, upvotes their own comment. what deserves a kick in the nuts and or taco is when the person leaving a comment repeats this several times on the same post. however what makes me want to seek out a voodoo priest to cast a death curse. is when they don't even give the post that they are commenting on an upvote!
That problem may be a future post for me. They just keep self-voting for the rewards. They won’t ever vote for your post - they are too busy abusing the system.
I totally agree! No problem with leaving a short comment to let the person know you've enjoyed their post, but if you enjoyed it you should at least upvote it!
I actually flagged my first spammy comment today. It gets old seeing "nice post" or "very informative article". Lol I always check the people's other comments and 99% of the time they are just spamming comments. I actually felt kinda bad flagging someone, but I'll have to get used to it. Maybe they will learn from it... Doubt it though.

Lol ya probably. At least my vote is only worth a penny, so I'm not out much.
the funniest one i ever got was. " love your post. you are a very great writer." this comment was left on a picture that i drew. i got a good chuckle out of it.
