Jesus said: John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:5

One of the most mysterious teachings of Jesus about the Kingdom of Heaven is the teaching of the two baptisms, for Jesus there were two baptisms, one with water related to John the Baptist, which was a baptism of repentance, and another baptism related to gnosis that is, the salt and the fire: "For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt" Mark 9:49.
And this spiritual fact has a logic, because to enter the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, first of all, a change of heart is needed, the passage from a life full of sins to a life of righteousness ("So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you" Matthew 7:12), and this represents the baptism with water. But as Jesus taught to Nicodemus when this teacher of the law of Moses came to see him at night as recounted in the Gospel of John, this is not enough, an interior transformation is needed to perceive this mysterious kingdom with integrity, and this is what the second baptism deals with, as Jesus explained with wisdom: "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again" John 3:3.
This is why Jesus, after resurrecting as recounted in the Book of Acts, appeared to the disciples and confirmed the mysterious second baptism, so that they could bear witness to the good news to the world: "For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit" Acts 1:5. This second baptism as shown in the Book of Acts can only be received by the laying on of hands, and not by a physical sign such as water. Through this gift of the spirit that is a fruit of a righteous life, men access eternal life, life that once obtained cannot be lost, that is why it is eternal.
