My cover picture may not look attractive because I decided not to visit the top and most attractive stationery in my city. I decided to go local because even these ones need recognition, and my advertising brings recognition to them as well. Can you imagine I never knew there was a stationery store in this location because of how unattractive it is? But people do it because of the prices of goods there.

Location and how to get there

According to the manager of the shop, he said it was marked No. 800 Oron Rd. So this is along Oron Rd after Ifa Atai Big Junction if you're coming from Udoudoma traffic light, but if you're coming from Ibiaku Junction, it's before Ifa Atai Big Junction. So either way, you can locate this stationery. It's a stationery for the local people, but most stationeries don't have what he has. This is the Google location on Google Maps. You can navigate your place to this shop. The nearest landmark is that it's close to Judel Supermarket.

Management

This business is a husband and wife's business, and they manage it together at different intervals. They are of age, no doubt. They ensure the place has the basic necessities of the people in that area, as what is common are pens, exercise books, jotters, and other academic materials children need most in school and at an affordable rate since it's a stationery.

They are always active to attend to the needs of the people. It has no business name since it's a local store. I've been trying to review big places but decided to visit the local stationers.

Environment and Exterior

As a small business store, they don't have enough parking spaces for cars. The environment is conducive for making purchases, as it's not located in a place that's difficult to gain access to without crossing the gutters. The shop isn't built with bricks or blocks. It's a container beside a popular supermarket.

In front of the shop is a desk for the display of his goods. They have two of these desks with a glass door behind the desk. If it were within my power, I would have supported them with sufficient steems. That's what I'm planning on doing in months to come, no doubt—supporting small businesses to do at least one thing.

It has a metal protector, which protects the shop from theft when it closes. The rooftops are supported with wood, which is clearly visible and, in a way, gives the shop a unique outlook.

Facilities

Like I said, it's a local shop and doesn't have many facilities. Just the veranda, where some products are displayed for visibility, and the interior, where other materials that shouldn't be exposed to the sun are kept. It also has a place where visitors are attended to and where the owner or manager sits to attend to people. Let's talk about the veranda. The veranda is not that big, but it is comfortable enough to accommodate 5 people who are making purchases at the same time.

The desk in the veranda has steps that hold certain goods. Let's start with the top step, which houses a bible, fruit juice, and cream for the dry season. The second step houses fancy jotters of different sizes and colors. The third step from the top houses jotters too and one hardcopy book. The fourth start houses tapes, gum, writing materials, etc.

At the top of the ceiling, some bags are spotted, and these bags are fancy bags, which can be used to contain books or any other stuff. All these goods sampled outside are there to show you that they have these products inside in sufficient quantities. They won't be able to sample everything outside.

  • The interior of the shop: This is a facility that houses the reception area and shelves for the placement of the other books and goods customers may need. From my view, you can see that the interior of the shop has a large shelf on one side of the shop, while the other part has a table and some planks used for construction.

Products and Services

In this stationery shop, or bookshop, as it is fondly called. They have a lot of products, some that aren't meant to be sold in a bookshop and others that are usually seen in a bookshop.

  • Exercise books: The exercise books sold in this bookshop or stationary range from 20 leaves to 80 leaves, which students basically need for school. They also have hardcover exercise books of different sizes [medium and long].

40 leaves250 naira2.6
60 leaves300 naira3.1

They also sell these two exercise books in dozens. It's cheaper to buy a dozen of 12 than to buy in bits.

  • Gum and Sellotape: This is another common thing in bookshops that they have. They have both Sellotape and liquid gum. These liquid gums are called Top Gum and Top Bond, and they are of different sizes.

  • Bibles and Jotters: These are products sold in stationary, and the bible is packaged with a transparent cellophane nylon.

  • Juice and Gova oils: It's quite unlikely to see this sold in a bookshop, but he has his reasons for doing so. He sells supplements that are useful for different skin infections and the like.
  • Cardboard Papers and Dictionaries: Cardboard papers of different colors are sold at the rate of 200 naira. They have dictionaries of different sizes and brands. You can choose to purchase anyone you want.

Their quality of service is top-notch here. When I visited the store, the manager gave me a friendly outlook and welcomed me to his shop. He even offered me a seat. I purchased a cardboard paper in his shop and took permission to advertise the shop as a content creator. I bought the cardboard at the rate of 200 naira, and it was 1 I bought.

My Experience

Like I said, the man gave me a friendly outlook and was very approachable, unlike most businessmen. He gave me a listening ear and is very considerate in his business. These are the kind of people that make purchasing comfortable. Even though his business is on a small scale, he tries to boast about his business and make it stand out where he is. The other person I met to review his shop didn't buy the idea.

His face was like someone who's going for war even when those in his shop told him it was just like a student taking pictures to talk about, nothing much. When I start physical promotion on Steemit with other Steemians, I'll do my best to reach out to those in the dark and those who run small businesses that are hardly recognized by many.
