The Hatirjheel Project is a significant and modern development project in our country's capital, Dhaka. The Hatirjheel Project is located between Rampura, Begunbari, Tejgaon, and Moghbazar areas. Earlier, this area was a large wetland, and the lake was once polluted with garbage. Waterlogging, bad smell, and traffic congestion were the main problems in this area. To overcome these problems, the government started the Hatirjheel Development Project in 2007. The Bangladesh Army and the engineering team of BUET jointly implemented the project. The work of the modern Hatirjheel Project was completed in 2013.
Hatirjheel Lake
The Hatirjheel project has reduced waterlogging in the city, protected the environment, facilitated vehicle movement, and created a beautiful entertainment center for the city dwellers. Several bridges have been built through the Hatirjheel project, which are of modern design. A large lake, wide roads, modern bridges, and flyovers have been constructed in the Hatirjheel project. The bridge provides fast transportation to Gulshan, Banani, Moghbazar, and Rampura areas. I entered the Hatirjheel project through Rampura. There are beautiful roads for visitors to walk on the side of the road.

An elevated place like an island has been created in the middle of the huge lake of the Hatirjheel Project. There is a water bus service to go to different places in the capital, Dhaka. Several restaurants have been built around the lake with modern technology. People of the capital, Dhaka, travel to the lake with their families every day from the afternoon to night. The Hatirjheel Project has made it possible to reduce traffic congestion in the capital, Dhaka, a lot. I walked across some of the bridges of the Hatirjheel Project and took pictures.

There is a special bus service around the lake under the Hatirjheel Project. Visitors can explore the Hatirjheel Project on foot and through bus service. In addition to enhancing the beauty of the Hatirjheel Project, several parks have been created for the entertainment of the people of the city. There are facilities for visitors to sit and entertain themselves around the Hatirjheel Project. In addition, there is a facility to travel on the lake by boat or water bus.

The beauty of the Hatirjheel Project is at its best, especially at night. The beauty of the bridge and the lake has been enhanced by installing various types of electric lights. CCTV cameras have been installed around the Hatirjheel Project to control security. Fish farming is done in the lake on a government initiative. I travel around the vast area of the Hatirjheel Project for about an hour. Then I take a circular bus to return.
