Some really good street art at a beach foreigners rarely go to
In my time in the hot season I will sometimes intersperse constantly complaining about the miserable temperatures and humidity and just dig in and head down to the beach.
I can't bear the really crowded nature of the beaches that are closest to me so I will normally cycle or take a motorbike to one of the lessor ones up the road that are mainly there for a few small resorts.
one of these beach access roads is near to a popular tourism destination across the road and I think they thought that because of the proximity that this beach would also be popular. Thankfully for me, that was not the case and when I do come down here I rarely ever see anyone yet there is still very good infrastructure as far as the roads are concerned and what not. This street art that I found must have been allowed or perhaps even ordered, because it is too good to have been done by someone constantly looking over their shoulder for authorities.

To me, this is my favorite kind of street art. There is barely a name on it and it isn't one of those lazy tags that just has big bubbly letters that is so common that I rarely even pay attention to them even if they are good. This took some thought and some real skill. When I looked in closer I could tell that it is also completely done with spray maybe with a cardboard outline for some parts just to do the straight lines. I've been told by experts in this sort of thing that this sort of "cheating" is allowed in the street-cred circles.

This one kind of has more of a beach theme to it although I think Vietnam is probably getting ahead of themselves presuming that any sea turtles could actually survive in their extremely polluted water. I guess maybe there are some far off the coast. I've never heard of anyone spotting one though, unfortunately.

Octopus are likely I guess but I haven't seen too many nicely colored tropical birds here either. Maybe it isn't the correct part of the world. I hope there are some but they likely wouldn't hang out in the city area that I live in anyway because there are far too many people and not near enough trees for them to survive.
it's a good piece of artwork though, nonetheless.

There is a little cafe and surf shop across the road that had some art on it and perhaps this is an indication that they might be somewhat responsible for this.
I love this area and maybe people visiting here would like it as well. There isn't much in the way of civilization here. Just a few cafes and a restaurant or two. But for me at least, being in the middle of such crazy business all the time, I enjoy getting away from the crowds even if that means that my food and drink options are going to be a bit eliminated.
Out here you can actually hear the sea and not be constantly bombarded with traffic and music noise. But you can see in a couple of the pictures above that just like most everywhere else in Da Nang, there is construction going on. I would imagine that there are plans in the works already to ruin this area's quiet as well. Maybe the inevitability of the walls being torn down was why the street arts was allowed in the first place.
This is a pretty peaceful beach away from almost the millions of people that inhabit this area and if you would like to check it out for yourself as well as see the street art, you go go here. It's a public access beach and it is free to get in.
