Grizzly Bear Paws
Aren't these paws just the cutest!
The claws of a Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) are around 3-5 inches long (~7-10cm). They use these claws primarily for digging up roots and rodents, digging winter dens, and burying food caches. They are also extremely dexterous and can skin a salmon with great precision.
They also need to use their claws to fight and fend off other bears, or protect themselves against potential threats
