Today was the Beatles last Live Performance
They had been having problems since late 1968 and you can hear this on the white album in particular. I love the songs on the white album but sometimes I hate the tension I feel on it.
Recently I discovered some demo recordings from pretty much right before they started having issues working together. It's basically the white album minus a few songs and plus a few you may have never heard.
The original version of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" can be heard as "Mother Natures Child" among many other goosebump giving moments.
I have been thinking a lot and listening to a lot of the Beatles lately, and it was nice to wake up and find out that 49 years ago today, the Beatles were up on that rooftop playing their beautiful songs for people, one more time.
I bet this event will be a big deal next year for it's 50th anniversary!
