Fascinating Insect: Robber Fly
It is always good finding this insect around the wood. This predatory insect was even more fascinating when perching on the grass that was seen likely climbing on top to get something but if we look closely, its legs strongly attached to the grass, waiting and being ready to catch the prey. This little predator is a robber fly, a predatory insect that is capable of taking down the prey in flight. Robber fly is often found near the wetland and usually perches on the wild grass to monitor the prey.
