Short-Horned Grasshopper Nymph
So I returned to the tall grass, a place of some insects spent their rest afternoon. I thought I would find many kinds of insect in there but I almost got none until a grasshopper came up, stood firmly on the twig. I went thru the grass, and aimed my camera right on it. It is known as short-horned grasshopper nymph, belongs to Acrididae family.
The Acrididae are the predominant family of grasshoppers, comprising some 10,000 of the 11,000 species of the entire suborder Caelifera.
