Weevils on Wild Fruits
A few days ago, I made my way back to the same local forest, where I believe I would find some other interesting items to collect. When I was walking down the narrow path, I noticed these weevils on wild fruit playing hide and seek. The weevils commonly live in forests, but some of them can be found in various types of habitats, including urban settlements. It is a species of attelabidae that lives among the primitive weevils. They have an elongated snout, which is used for piercing. Male/Female differentiation can be determined using the rostrum as females' are longer. Since I rarely used mobile macro, I had to manage to handle the gears like the way I used to, and I did my best to get the shot. Having them in the closest range made them uncomfortable with my presence, and the only thing they did was to run away but before that, I already managed to take a few pictures of these weevils. Their look are quite impressive and unique, which urged me to hunt them down with my mobile camera. After spending some time, I was finally able to capture some pictures of these two fascinating species of weevils.
