An evening by the river | 10 % for beautycreativity
Hello friends,
There's a gentle hush that settles over the water as the sun dips below the treeline, turning the river into a ribbon of molten gold. I arrived just as the last school of fish broke the surface, their silvery flashes mirroring the sky’s first stars.
The air was warm, scented with riverbank wildflowers and the faint, sweet smell of damp earth. A lone heron stood motionless on a low branch, its silhouette a quiet sentinel watching the day surrender.

I found a smooth stone, settled onto it, and let the soft murmur of the current stitch itself into my thoughts.
Each ripple carried a fragment of the day's chatter—children’s laughter from a distant park, the distant rumble of a train, the occasional splash of a frog. Time seemed to stretch, unspooling like the river itself.

Evening by the river is a reminder that beauty often lives in the pause between moments. When the world rushes past, the water remains, reflecting both what has been and what is yet to come.
I left with the water’s calm echo lingering in my mind, a promise to return. Tomorrow, I will bring a notebook, hoping the river will share new verses, and I will listen.
