The Tunisian female Jebba ... how is she?

The National Office of Handicraft has just published a guide presenting the models of the Tunisian traditional female jebba, on the occasion of the organization, in March 2015, of the "Komsa d'Or contest for the dress of the daily".
These models reflect the wealth of the national heritage in the field of clothing, with its embroidery and accessories (jewelry and others).

The guide unveils a thriving time for making jewelry, fabrics and embroidery, as well as a high artistic taste that is reflected in the harmony of colors, fabrics and accessories.

The guide presents the jebba as a loose garment that falls straight down, below which the woman wears a "seroual" or fouta, with a flared and wide-brimmed shirt.
The jebba "pastri" is a daily silk dress of the city of Sfax, and the wool jebba is a wedding garment, which is also worn during visits, the city of Nabeul.

In Rafraf, at the beginning of the 20th century, the bride wore a Jebba "Chouchana" and was dressed during the 3rd day of the wedding of a white jebba embellished with flowers of bright colors.
