Beer Tasting - Cream Ale ('Lazy Blonde' by Beer Here Brewery)

in #beer7 years ago

First day of work and a tasting session to celebrate! Nothing beats that. Looking for steemfest roomate as well, check it out in my other post.

The staging area was the good old creepy Craft Bar. Why creepy? This is only one other example of the interior decorations.

Thankfully, the terrace is more cheerful in the nice weather! I even found a secret garden. @costopher would like this. Check out his garden!

As we were leaving a lovely waitress recognized my zeal and offered me a free tasting of her favourite - a peach sour by Garden Brewery. The official description states:

A Croatian kettle sour with tons of lactose added during the boil for a silky smooth mouthfeel. Then fermented on medium toasted oak to round it out. Finally, its finished off and conditioned for 3 weeks on over 100kg of fresh peaches. A silky, tart, peach filled sour perfect for exploring the out regions of what beer can be.

I really enjoyed it as it’s really out-of-the-box. The fine lady deserves a tip, I’ll adress that the next time. Didn’t take a photo of her but if you see a blonde, you are probably in the right. Give her a hearty hello if you visit!

Daily menu:

The beer on review is a Danish design. It got me with alc. Percentage and an interesting name.

Lazy Blonde by Beer Here Brewery

StyleCream Ale - Top 50 in the style worldwide
CountryTejn, Denmark
Alcohol7.5%
--------------
AppearancePale golden color. Small white fluffy head.
AromaSweet grapefruit. Citric notes mixed with floral.
TasteTastes like red orange. Candy. Medium sweet. Medium bitter. Very balanced. Quite enjoyable.
PalateMedium to full bodied. Low carbonation. Low co2 really allows the palate to experience the taste. Bittersweet finish. Obvious quality.
--------------
OverallMaybe not my favorite style but this beer is one of those game changers. Industry standards really went through the roof. If only you allowed yourself to embrace the bitterness and drop the lager chugging experience as the only relevant this beer would be an ultimate pick.
Score (subjective)18/20

Price: 12 kn (1.95$) - 0.15 l. On tap at a pub, tester glass. Splurge.

Mmmm...the peach sour sounds more up my alley, but I'd give it a go for sure! I love the designs on their beer glasses, it's really nice.

Blonde and wheat beers are my type! Love this post with beer and all other aspect combined :)

Looks like a great beer, looks like I need to taste this one!!

Hmmm. Lazy Blonde. I think I would have been taken in by that name too. Well, that and the 7.5%. :)

I love me a nice blonde ale....I might take you up on splitting a room at Steemfest @buzzbeergeek, I'm looking to see if I can afford the flight or if I have enough miles to use

Great! Contact me in any way, plenty to choose :)

very well done my friend, I'm curious if you have heard of or drank Delirium from Delirium Cafe in Belgum? I'm going to be doing a post on that soon. Just Curious. @cryptobk

I heard about it, it's on my list. My gf just had it a week ago when she was visiting Belgium! ;)

We used to get quite a bit of Beer Here's brews down in Australia, but I don't see them as much anymore. My favourite of their is the Ammestout or Host Stout - very impressive brewers.

Australian beer! If I see it somewhere, will try asap!

That 'lazy blond' sounds good. Went to a microbrewery in Minnesota that had a beer that tasted like raspberry. It was very good. A beer that taste of grapefruit sounds good also.

Yeah, crazy flavors are all the rage lately

Keep the beer posts coming! :p

Oh! Another blonde! Nice to see your vote here! I'll check out your goodies, too!

Thank you 😎

It is always good and healthy to drink beer, especially a good beer like the one in the pictures.

Yea, they say that dark #beer has antioxidants – more so than lighter beers. I am stoked to start consuming more DARK now.

The dark ale, they also say, can help reverse cellular damage that occurs in the body. ♥ Who knows, maybe it'll be good for my heart, too.
