Painted Black, Dark Lager, by Redrock Brewing CO.

The past weekend, I stumbled onto a limited addition Dark Lager by the Redrock Brewing CO. Looking at the label and the fact that it is a limited beer promised to be something unique!!

This beer was inspired by the Rolling Stones hit of 1966, "Paint it Black". According to the label, this beer is purposefully bold!! This beer is brewed in the Bamberg Rauchbier style, which means it is a smoked beer. You can read more about the Rauchbier, by clicking on the blue link.

This beer is quite heavy at 6,25% alcohol and comes in a 340ml bottle.

This beer contrasts beautiful with the frosted beer glass!! It pours a dark black color, with a very white head!! It looks great. (I think the photo above is a great piece of art!!)

I had a few people over at my house, and everybody wanted to taste this beer, it looked so amazingly great!! This beer had a nice smoked - bitter taste, which tasted very good to me. I liked this beer, and my visitors who tasted it also concurred, this was a great beer.
