It started as a small problem but keeps on lingering then and now, it might not be palpable that they need help, but among themselves, they badly need it. Their state was often equated with a dilemma, in which a deluge wrecked them from within and swept the slightest hope they have. It imprisons them; bind them in shackles of fear and agony. A state of mind for those who can’t understand the situation they are in, trying to characterize it as the absence of rationality and faith. No, it’s not like that, and will never be like that, it is a torment that goes beyond the mind for it bores into the very core of their soul. It constantly pesters their one’s crippled emotion and might, insinuating morose visions of tomorrow. That is why auguries of death are fast gathering around their heads for we try to disregard their real situation, and thinks it is just a petty thing millennial used to do. Morbidity clouded their perception since they feel no escape. Death is a notion we are always afraid of, but in their mind, it is the easiest way out. Living for them is like dying a million times, lamenting over things they did not do or they did; a continuous process, and an agony that never ceases. Torment used to accompany them day in and out. Extreme emotions keep on lingering, and incessant thoughts of suicide somehow relieves them. For them, death is a haven, since it will end everything including pain. As what Mother Theresa once said, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potentials to turn a life around”. For them, it means a lot, and we need to start reconnecting with everyone before it’s too late.
