About Gridcoin
Gridcoin is a cryptocurrency which securely rewards BOINC computation (volunteer distributed computing projects which attempt to cure diseases, map the milkyway, search for extraterrestrial life, etc) on top of proof of stake.
Anyone can create a BOINC project to create a distributed cloud service of their own desire, we can reward your users on your behalf as opposed to you paying for computation up front.

- Since the 206th BeyondBitcoin hangout, the market cap has reduced from the peak value of $0.058 to between $0.03 and $0.04 (still up from $0.02 pre-surge value) with an average 24hr trading volume in the 6 figures, primarily on Poloniex.

- We have continued holding Gridcoin community hangouts on a fortnightly basis, the next hangout is the 31th hangout on the 27th May (This saturday at 9PN GNT). Everyone's welcome to join in!
Development
- We have a total of 112 Gridcoin community tasks, some include bounties such as improving the NN mechanism for 200k GRC (~$6500).
- Upcoming release
- Large UI changes have been developed by Huppdiwupp.
- Debug flags can now be configured on the fly
- Minor RAM usage reduction
- Translation improvements (With more on the way)
- The development branch has been merged to staging to stabilize, see the full changelog!
