Psalm 37:5 — Trust God With Your Plans and Future
📖 Bible Verse
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
— Psalm 37:5 (KJV)
🌿 Reflection
We all have plans for our lives. We think about our future, our family, our work, our relationships, and the things we hope to accomplish. Sometimes, however, the more we try to control everything, the more worried and discouraged we become.
Psalm 37:5 gives us a simple but powerful reminder: commit your way to the Lord and trust Him.
To commit our way to God means more than simply asking Him to bless the plans we have already made. It means placing our plans, dreams, worries, and future into His hands and trusting His wisdom above our own.
There may be moments when you pray for something and the answer does not come as quickly as you expected. You may wonder why God has not opened a certain door or why your situation has not changed. In those moments, remember that God's timing is not the same as ours.
Trusting God does not mean that we will always understand what He is doing. It means believing that He sees the bigger picture when we can only see today.
If you are carrying a burden about your future today, take a moment to give it to God. Do what you can, pray faithfully, and leave the outcome in His hands.
You don't have to know every step of the journey when you know who is leading you.
🙏 A Prayer for Today
Dear Lord,
I commit my plans, dreams, worries, and future into Your hands. Help me trust You even when I cannot understand what You are doing. Give me patience when I have to wait and faith when the path ahead is unclear.
Guide my decisions and help me follow Your will instead of relying only on my own understanding. Let Your peace fill my heart today.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
