Hi, firstly it depends on what ROI that bidding round finished at - if it was slightly negative then that would account for the slight loss.
Also, most bids are made in SBD, hence a 7 SBD bid when it was worth $2 would have been a bid of $14 and an upvote, assuming zero ROI of about $18.60. Today, it would be a $7 bid and, again assuming zero ROI, an upvote of about $9.30. So your figures make sense - just not profitable :-(
I tried it via steem also last night, it also was a total loss, so bidbots are just not worth it now full stop.
