Binance is now my preferred exchange

No doubt about it – there are a plethora of exchanges to choose from out there when trading cryptocurrency. You’ve got Bittrex, Binance, Coinbase, GDAX, Kucoin, amongst many others. I’ve traded almost exclusively on Bittrex for several months, with Binance being my #2 for obscure currencies not listed on Bittrex. No more. Why?

About those obscure currencies…

They aren’t actually obscure, but there are more currencies that I’m interested in on Binance than there are on Bittrex. Binance also seems to acquire newer currencies that are just released to the market much faster than other exchanges. They also support a wide variety of hard forks sooner than what I’ve seen on other exchanges as well.

There’s an app for that

As a frequent mobile user and a less frequent laptop user, having the ability to monitor prices on the go is quite valuable. The Binance app is available in Google Play for Android devices and as a manual download for iOS devices. To get the manual download for your iPhone, the link is here. You also have the ability to buy and trade from within the app, as well as monitoring your wallet balance at all times. This makes for a handy and more real time addition to your tools than continuing to change trades in Blockfolio.

Market price buys

Nothing is more frustrating than trying to buy a crypto you’re interested in and the price keeps fluctuating, or the buy order you submit just sits forever and ever. On Binance, you can simply use the Market Price purchase option to purchase your crypto immediately at the going market price. This ensures that you get the crypto you want at the time you want it. NOTE: If you happen to use this feature while a crypto is pumping, you may receive an “insufficient funds” message. You’ll need to make a slight adjustment to the purchase quantity (move it down slightly) to get your purchase to go through. This doesn’t happen frequently, just in the middle of a high traffic pump.

A more up to date reflection of market fluctuation

Binance has a much more accurate view of the Buy and Sell walls in real time on their site. You can monitor a crypto and see the full picture as prices are fluctuating and buys/sells are going up and down. I have not found this real time movement to be as prominent on Bittrex. The response time is much slower. GDAX does a good job of this but they do not have the assortment of cryptos that Binance has.

You can…um…actually get an account?

Quite a few of my friends and co workers have been trying to get accounts on Bittrex and other exchanges as of late and failed. With Binance, they’ve (mostly) been able to keep up with the demand and get new accounts onboarded quickly. Several times a day they have opened the floodgates and allowed new user sign ups. Bittrex still has the doors closed on registration.

Verification is quick and easy

Binance requires less verification steps and less overhead to get your account up and running. You can quickly and easily setup your account without waiting days or weeks for verification. This is invaluable, especially if you’d like to get invested in a new cryptocurrency that isn’t on other exchanges.

Binance has worked out very well for me so far as my go to exchange. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should! If you appreciated the information in this article, I’d appreciate you using my referral link! Thanks for reading!
