Little Egret at the Inn River (inkl. Video)

I think the "Little Egret" is one of the most beautiful birds in the "Egret" Family. Furtunately it is one of the birds that can be seen regulary at the Inn River when it is hunting for prey in the shallow water of the wetlands, and I have already taken numerous pictures of it. But still I am everytime very happy when I see it, especially when it comes very close like in these pictures I did last Year in Summer.

The wetlands of the Inn River are one of my favorite birding spots since I only drive 1 hour from Linz there and nearly everytime I visit the places along the river I am able to see some nice birds that live there. During the hot time in Summer it can be a bit exhausting with the warm weather and the mosquitos that can be very annoying but in Spring it is a perfect place for doing some birdphotography. And I am already looking forward to next year, enjoying several nice hours of birdwatching and photographing there.

Unfortunately sometimes the birds are not that close like this little Egret in these pictures, but sometimes you have luck and then there are several birds within the reach of my Camera Lens. I also now always take my Spotting Scope with me to simply watch birds in the distance and watch their behavior. But everytime I use my spotting scope and when I return home I have so many beautiful pictures in my mind and only took a fraction of them with my Camera. Then sometimes I am a bit dissapointed. On the other hand I am very glad and happy that I saw so many different species.
