Stork, who thinks that the fish can fly
Lily. She is one of the few our storks that could return to normal life in nature.
Lily was brought to us in late autumn. She was greatly weakened and could not fly to warm countries together with other storks.
But after a couple of months she got stronger and decided ... to fly. Nobody expected this. My neighbor called me and said in an uncertain voice: "I think you have a stork on the roof." It was the middle of January! Storks do not stay for the winter in our region. We were very worried that she would freeze.
We did not know how to get her back into the cage. My husband constantly threw her a fish on the roof. I said: "Stop this, she will think that the fish can fly!"
In the end, we had to go for the trick. We let the rest of the storks into the courtyard, and when Lily sat down, we caught her. As it turned out, it was very timely, because after a day of severe frosts began.
In the spring we let her fly away. She did not fly away at once. She lived for a long time in our yard, although no one held her. In one day I climbed on the roof to take a photo of how Lily flies.
Hooray for Lily who literally got her wings back!
We are really happy because of her:)
So majestic!!!!!!! 👌😍

They are amazing:)
Lets us hope she thrives in the wild once more. Thanks for the work you do to aid our fellow creatures. Great photos by the way.
Thank you:)
How beautiful does she look :)
Thank you:)
Does she ever come back? If you got that photo from the roof, then she must be nearby at least. Amazing story!
