Common Merganser

This is one bird species. I have rarely seen them, and I actually needed to use image recognition to help me identify them. They are the more abundant merganser species in Canada. The male has a white body; the female has a tuft of feathers out of the back of its head. They can be found across Canada where the trees are large enough to support their nests.
