The black kite (Milvus migrans)

These are amazingly punctual birds! They arrive every year from April 2nd to 4th, regardless of the weather.
While other migratory birds rely on weather conditions and may arrive later, or arrive and then fly away again to escape the colder days, kites always arrive on time.
