in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Here is a quiz for all you crypto experts. January 3rd, 2009, was a historic day. Why?

Here are the options - please choose the correct answer:

  1. Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper
  2. Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first block of the Bitcoin blockchain
  3. Ned Scott and Dan Larimer invented Steem
  4. Roger Ver made his first investment in a Bitcoin company
  5. Craig Wright invented a Quantum computer that can decrypt Bitcoin transactions
  6. Friedrich August von Hayek received the Nobel prize for his works on the Denationalisation of Money
  7. The British chancellor decided to bail out the banks

The first five people who answer this correctly in the comments will get my book "A Beginner's Guide to Bitcoin and Austrian Economics" as a free download.

And a second question for the advanced cryptonauts: why did I choose this front page of the Times to illustrate this post?

Bitcoin is unstoppable, it is the decentralized engine, though transactions are public

that is something new to me, thanks for this information..

no. 2 ..satoshi nakamoto mined first block...

the day was BTC's birthday

thanks for great information of btc yes.

Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first block of Bitcoin!
this newspaper is very memorable because it is the text used for the genesis block. It is a proof that bitcoin started that day and not before, and defines the genesis block for all people that want to use this technology.

Many people thinks that Nakamoto is british because this newspaper is british and it is not popular worldwide :)

For curious people this is the source code of bitcoin, in the line 51 they define the genesis block and over there is the title of The Times.

love to read it
