Bitcoin transaction fees are INSANELY high!

The average transaction fee is up to 400satoshi/byte, which is about $15! Then you would still have to wait about 30-45 minutes for your transaction to go through. Some people were paying up to 800+ satoshi/byte! Hopefully the fees will die down soon as the price of Bitcoin itself has gone down quite a bit.
